How to do Ankle Alphabet
- Sit toward front of chair
- Lift right foot slightly off floor
- Point toes gently
- Hold chair for balance
- Using big toe as a "pen", trace letter A in the air
- Continue through alphabet (or A-M for shorter version)
- Keep movements controlled and deliberate
- Lower right foot when complete
- Repeat with left foot
- Focus on ankle movement, not whole leg
Breathing
- Breathe naturally throughout
- Stay relaxed
- Take breaks between letters if needed
Hold: 3-5 minutes total (both feet).

Challenging the ankle flexibility by attempting to "write" the alphabet with the big toe
Modifications
Make it easier
- Write only A-M (half alphabet)
- Make smaller letters
- Rest foot on floor periodically
- Use only numbers 0-9 instead
Make it more challenging
- Write full alphabet A-Z
- Make larger letters
- Write in cursive
Common mistakes to avoid
- Moving entire leg instead of ankle
- Letters too small to be effective
- Rushing through alphabet
- Losing balance without support
